Kevin Edward Rommel, 69, passed away on September 21, 2024, in Jackson, TN. Born on August 18, 1955, in Hamilton, OH, Kevin grew up and attended Garfield High School, setting the stage for a future defined by hard work, selflessness and dedication.
Kevin was a man of many passions. He found joy in golf, tending to his garden, and most importantly, spending quality time with his family (especially his 7 grandchildren who he adored and was a hero to each one). These moments, filled with love and laughter, are cherished memories held by all who knew him.
Kevin's career spanned many years at DeWayne's Quality Metal Coatings in Lexington, TN, where he was known for his strong work ethic, dependable nature and knowledge. He is remembered by everyone who knew him as a trustworthy and supportive figure, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Tonja Rommel, and their sons, Klint Rommel (Leah), Kollin Rommel (Courtney), and Kiel Rommel (Lynn). He also leaves behind his siblings, Jim Rommel, Dan Rommel, Teresa Crawford, Mike Rommel and many nieces, nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Phyllis Rommel, and his brother, Wayne Rommel.
Kevin's life will be honored through a cremation at George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be planned for the near future, where friends and family will gather to remember a man who was honest, hard-working, and incredibly fun to be around.
Kevin was passionate about donating blood to those in need. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Red Cross Blood Donation program, ensuring his legacy of generosity and community support continues.
