Jason was born to Sue Todd James of Jackson and the late William Mark Todd on June 26, 1977 in Jackson, Tennessee where he received his education, graduating from Jackson Central Merry in 1995 and later from Jackson State Community College with an Associates Degree in Business in 2011.
Following his graduation, Mr. Todd entered the United States Marine Corps proudly serving his country from 1996 until his honorable discharge in July of 2000. He completed his initial training at Camp Pendleton in San Diego California. During his time as a Marine, CPL Todd was the recipient of the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Rifle Expert Badge, and Certificate of Commendation during his overseas work as an electrician while serving in Japan and Korea.
Jason was a proud Marine, but he would tell you his greatest accomplishment in life was his family which began in 2002 with his wife, Amy Wallace Todd and her daughter Madeline Elaine, who he raised as a daughter for many years. Their family was complete with the birth of their son, Joshua Lee Todd, his pride and joy and the Todd family namesake. He supported his family through his work in the security industry at Roberts and Todd Security Systems, Mazda of Jackson, and Mercedes of Little Rock. He was a member of Englewood Baptist Church where he professed his faith as a young boy and demonstrated that profession of faith through public baptism.
He is survived by his son Joshua Lee Todd of Jackson, step-daughter Madeline Elaine Todd of Huntingdon, mother Sue Todd James of Jackson, sister Stacey Todd Mott (Edward Whalley IV) of Jackson, and brothers Larry James of Humboldt, Ryan James of Humboldt and two nephews Braden Mott and Bryce Mott of Jackson along with his loving grandmother Eddie Joyce Todd of Jackson and mother-in-law Shirley Wallace of Brownsville. Preceding him in death, and celebrating with him at his homecoming along with his father and wife, are his grandparents the late Richard and Frances Todd, Billy Haynes Todd of Jackson and his late father-in-law Jack Wallace of Brownsville.
A memorial service for Mr. Jason Mark Todd, age 45, will be held at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon. The family will be receiving visitors beginning at 12:00 noon preceding the service.
