Janelle Luckman Henderson

Mrs. Janelle Luckman Henderson, age 82 of Jackson, TN, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2015 in the comfort of her home. Mrs. Henderson was born on December 28, 1932 in Jackson, TN to the late Janie Mae and Arthur Luckman. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was known for her great generosity. She also greatly enjoyed bringing beauty to her surroundings with her impeccable sense of style. She faithfully served as a member of The Jackson Service League and Christian Women. Janelle was a vibrant, beautiful soul who had a love for family, Tennessee football, and Jesus. A member of North Side United Methodist Church, Janelle had a strong faith and lived every day for her Lord and Savior.She is survived by her husband, Robert F. Henderson, to whom she was married for 64 years. She is survived by three sons, Bob Henderson (wife, Rene) of Gastonia, NC, Sidney Henderson (wife, Lisa) of Jackson, TN and Dr. Jeffrey Henderson (wife, Scottie) of Athens, GA; six grandchildren: Casey Henderson of Mt. Holly, NC, Blaire Henderson (fiancé, Dr. Ben Morel) of Mt. Holly, NC, Bailey Henderson Upchurch (husband, Jon) of Belmont, NC, Sam Henderson and Robert Henderson of Jackson, TN, Dr. Miller Henderson of Florence, OR; two great-grandchildren: Eason Posey of Mt. Holly, NC and Hattie Upchurch of Belmont, NC; a brother, Dr. William Luckman of Jackson, TN; niece, Dixie Luckman of Jackson, TN; Dr. Art Luckman (wife, Karla) of Jackson, TN and Scott Luckman (wife, Kim) of Cordova, TN. She is preceded in death by her mother, Janie Mae Luckman; father, Arthur G. Luckman; her brother, Buford Luckman and her sister, Lettie Jane Hall.Funeral Services for Mrs. Janelle Luckman Henderson will be conducted on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 2:30 p.m., in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons, with Interment to follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.Visitation with the family will be held on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:30 p.m., at the North Chapel.
