He was born on September 25, 1941 to the late Guy and Ora Lee Bratcher. Frank spent his life in the service of others. He was the epitome of a “school man.” He retired from Jackson-Madison County Schools, with 36 years of service as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. After his retirement in 2000, he turned a hobby of photography into a second career, capturing weddings, special events, and school portraits. He was a loving husband, awesome dad, caring grandfather, wonderful uncle, and faithful friend.
For his entire adult life, Frank was a faithful member of Forest Heights United Methodist Church, serving on numerous committees and teaching Sunday School for decades. He was a graduate of Lambuth College and Memphis State University.
Throughout his life, Bratcher was active in Civitan, Gideons International, Christian Motorcycle Association, and a board member at the Care Center.
