Frank Gammon Allison

Frank was born in Jackson, TN, on February 16, 1940, to Frank M. Allison and Ann Williams Allison, both preceded him in death. Frank was a lifelong resident of Jackson, TN. Frank was a graduate of Jackson High School where he was a drummer in the band. He went on to attend Lambuth College where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.

Affectionately known as "FG," Frank was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, duck hunting, and golf with family and friends.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Shannon Lea Allison Jones and her husband Travis Jones of Jackson; and two grandchildren, Mary Allison Jones and Rory Travis Jones, III; a sister, Betty Allison Winston of Jackson; a nephew, Russell Winston of Franklin, TN; a niece, Alison Winston of California; and another niece, Andrea Winston Lewin of Decatur, IL. Frank also had three great nephews, Nicholas Winston, Mitchell Winston, and Adam Lewin.

Frank was a loved brother, father, uncle, and friend.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all of Frank's caregivers at Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation, with a special thanks to Adrian for being an exceptional caregiver and friend to Frank in his later days.

A Celebration of Frank's life will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. The family will receive friends and loved ones beginning at 1:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service.
