Dennis Wayne May

He was born on October 6th, 1941 to Admiral Dewey May and Mary Kiger May in Jackson, Tennessee.

He leaves his wife of 55 years, Rebecca Gill May and his daughter, Denise May Mullins (Perry). He also leaves his beloved grand-daughter Tiffany Mullins Collins (Josh) and 2 great-grandchildren Sam Riley Collins and Lily Ann Collins. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his sisters, Elsie June May and Allah Jo Larkin, and brothers John Thomas May, Wallace Lee May, Jack Randolph May, Gene Hollamon May and Julian Simmons May. He leaves one brother, Norman Gayle May of Oklahoma.

Dennis loved his family and his church.

A member of Meridian Baptist Church in Jackson, TN, he enjoyed the fellowship of his Sunday School class and was always available to serve his church in any way he could. He was a proud graduate of Jackson High School in Jackson, TN. He also served his country in the Army National Guard.

A celebration of his life will be held at Meridian Baptist Church in Jackson, TN on Saturday, July 7th. Friends will be welcome beginning at 1:00 and the service will begin at 3:00.
