Chris Michael Blankenship

Funeral services for Chris Blankenship, 41, will be held at 1 pm on May 7, 2015, at the Carl Perkins Civic Center with Jon Enochs, Robert McBroom and Greg Gilbreath officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Chris passed away on May 3, 2015 in Jackson, TN.

He was born on March 22, 1974 in Jackson, TN, the son of Mike and Teresa Blankenship.

Chris was a loving father, husband, and son. He died doing what he loved to do.

He was a member of Meridian Baptist Church and a member of the Madison County Fire Department for ten years.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Royal and Dorothy Blankenship, and by his maternal grandfather, James Adkins.

He is survived by his wife, Ashley Chism Blankenship; his daughter, Bailey Elizabeth Blankenship; his son, Michael Chase Blankenship; his parents, Mike and Teresa Blankenship; his mother and father-in-law, Don and Sherry Chism; and his brother-in-law, Chris Chism; and his grandmother, Marie Adkins.

Pallbearers to serve are Danny Coley, Steve Gibson, Ronnie Bates, Jeff Robeson, William Casey, Andy Casey, Russell Newman, Carl Haynes, Harold Vann, and Lori Hale.

Honorary Pallbearers to serve are Madison County Fire Department Firefighters.

The family will receive friends on May 6, 2015, from 5-8 pm at Meridian Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital or The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation in honor of Chris Blankenship.
