Betty Hornsby Marnell

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; son, Tracy Mitchener (Tanya) of Middletown, OH; daughter, Terysa Harner (Myron) of Bonita Springs, FL; granddaughters, Dr. Chaunce Windle of Eugene, OR and Molly Windle of Las Vegas, NV; grandson, Josh Mitchener (Courtney) of Columbus, OH and granddaughter, Ashley Lidstone (Dustin); two great-grandsons, Darin and Liam Lidstone, and one great-granddaughter, Hayden Mitchener who were the joys in her life. She is also survived by two sisters, Judy Baldassari of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Greta Duncan; two brothers, Jack Hornsby (Sandra) and John Hornsby, all of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaston and Mellie Hornsby; brother, Roger Hornsby and sister, Ann Jeanette Giddens.

Mrs. Marnell owned a private school for many years in Florida before returning to Jackson, TN, where she was the office manager for Cable T.V. company before retiring when she became a grandmother. She will be missed greatly by her many friends and relatives who will miss her laughter and wonderful personality.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Marnell requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 4-7 p.m., at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with no funeral services.
