Virginia “Ginny” Lynn Perrett, 79, passed away March 2, 2023 in Dickson, TN. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson, MS, on Saturday, March 18, at 9:00 am to 11:00 am, with a memorial service to follow.
Daughter of F.M. Smith, Sr. and Louise Fox, Virginia was born on September 17, 1943 in Hattiesburg, MS. For the better part of her working life, she worked in Special Assets at Trustmark National Bank before her retirement.
She is preceded in death by her parents, F.M. Smith, Sr. and Louise Fox; her husband, William “Dee” Perrett; her sister, Sandra Sims; and her daughter, Lynn Purvis Diaz.
Virginia is survived by her brother and sister, F.M. Smith, Jr. (Sue) and Denise Morgan (Steven); her sons, Thomas Purvis (Margie), David Purvis (Beverly), and Richard Purvis (Sheila); six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces.
