Sara Smith passed away peacefully on August 3, 2021. She was born on June 6, 1938 and was a lifelong resident of Jackson and Raymond, Ms.
She graduated from Forest Hill High School in 1956 and started work with South Central Bell in the accounting department. She retired with 30 years of service.
She always thought her calling was to serve the Lord through the Church where she served as Church secretary at Edward Baptist Church for many years until her health failed.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Billy G. Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on August 5 at 11 AM at the pavilion at Lakewood Memorial Park on Clinton Blvd in Jackson, MS with the Rev. Jimmy Barrentine officiating.
