Paulette (Pat) Richardson Hastings, age 74, passed away peacefully, May 18, 2021 due to congestive heart failure and long battle with cancer. She was born August 1, 1946, Jackson, MS, to Vance and Evay Richardson. She married Walter E. Hastings, December 1970 who preceded her in death 2011.
Pat loved to love on people. She showed this through her love of art, crafts, food, and music. She decorated the bulletin boards at Key Elementary School, Jackson, Ms, where she worked for 20 years. She also shared her love with food for her family and friends with her famous peanut brittle, haystacks, and good home meals. For many years she played the piano and organ at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Temple Baptist Church and Waterford Assisted Living Community where she played for the Wednesday night services. Her life was a living example of a servant for God.
Pat is survived by her son William (Bill) Earl Hastings, daughter and son-in-law Beth and Michael Thorton, grandson Robert Thornton, brother Lawrence Todd Richardson, sister Deborah Richardson Golden. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
