She was a devoted mother to her six children and taught them about Jesus Christ and the benefits of sacrifice in serving others. She found great joy in the various roles of church service throughout her life, including that of pastor’s secretary. “Ms. Katie,” as she was called by those who knew and loved her, also enjoyed her later years as class president of the Truthseekers class at Pinelake Church. She loved gardening as well as baking and shared the fruits of both with neighbors and friends. She will be remembered for her steadfast faith in the Lord, her love for her family, her perseverance through hard times, and her joy in service to others. To God be the glory for a life well lived.
