Katherine Virginia Jordan Watts went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2016 at MS Baptist Medical Center. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 10:00 – 11:00. Funeral services will be held in the Lakewood Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 with burial immediately following at Lakewood Memorial Park. Katherine was born to R.C. Jordan, Sr. and Rachel Estele “Sweet” Guice Jordan on June 11, 1918. She is survived by her three nieces, Rachel Jordan Wooton of Bel Air, MD, Margie Jordan Smith of Kenner, LA and Dora Jordan Tucker of Jackson, MS; and three great nephews and their families. She is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar L. Watts and son, Robert L. Watts. Katherine was a long time member of Oak Forest Baptist Church. She finished high school in Carthage and graduated college from MSCW (now MUW). She began teaching 6th grade in Carthage, MS and after a long career retired from the Jackson School District.
