Mrs. Jean Thrasher Hall, age 91 of Jackson, MS went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 2, 2015. She was born on January 5th, 1924 to the late Newton Carroll and Bessie Estelle Thrasher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Calvin Hall; daughter, Deloras "Ann" Wesson; son-in-law, Dr. Ray Wesson; grandson, Dave Newton Wesson; sisters Frances Henderson, Nancy Bell, Lucille Johnston,and Jeanette Bell, and brothers Willard, George and Everett Thrasher.She is survived by grandchildren, Ray Wesson, Jr. of Gulfport, MS, Allison Wesson Pitts (Brian) of Brentwood, TN, and Jason Wesson of Decatur, GA.;and great-grandchildren, Presley McNiel (Josh), Morgan Wesson, Trey Wesson, Kolby Wesson, and their mother, Lisa;Raye Elizabeth Pitts, Carley Pitts, Reid Pitts, Hallie Pitts, Kaitlyn Wesson and Dylan Wesson; sister Margaret Wade of Starkville, MS and brother Charlie Thrasher (Romalette) of Starkville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was affectionately known as "MawMaw" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of First Ridgeland Baptist Church, and is remembered by family and friends as a prayer warrior who walked everyday with Jesus in her heart and with unwavering faith. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 6th, 5:00pm, at First Ridgeland Baptist Church, Dr. Mark Byrd officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 pm prior to the service.
