In 1955, she married Frank Hamilton who worked at Mohonk Mt. House, they made their home in New Paltz with their children David and Dean. After Frank and Jane retired they spend summers at their family home on Lake Champlain and the colder months at their condo in Lake Worth, Florida.
Education was always her calling – she touched the lives of many for over three decades. Her second 30-year career was in real estate. Retiring again at age 85, Jane moved to Mississippi to be closer to family.
She is survived by her sister, Ruth Bates; sons, David Hamilton, daughter-in-law, Laura Hamilton, and Dean Hamilton, daughter-in-law, Valerie Hamilton; her grandchildren, Stephen Hamilton, Stephanie Hunt, David Hamilton, and wife Laurita Hamilton, Paul Hamilton, her great-grandchildren Harlie, Levi, Piper, and Arthur.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Hamilton, and sister, Kathern Miller.
