Earline Nicholas Ainsworth, born November 8, 1926, in Jackson, Mississippi, died February 2, 2015. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 5-7 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday in the funeral home chapel with visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Ainsworth was preceded in death by her husband, Willard L. Ainsworth, her parents, David L. Nicholas and Sarah Ann Phillips Nicholas, and three sisters, Alice Nicholas Crawford of Longview, Texas, Tad Nicholas Rogers of Jackson and Brookhaven, Mississippi, and Thelma Nicholas Savell of Cleveland and Jackson, Mississippi. She is survived by two sons: Ken L. Ainsworth (Faye) of Cumming, Georgia, and Donald G. Ainsworth (Lynnette) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; five grandchildren: Gary Ainsworth (Melissa) of Marietta, Georgia; Tommy Ainsworth of Brandon, Mississippi; Anita Ainsworth Kipping (Mike) of Cumming, Georgia; Courtney Ainsworth of Moore, Oklahoma; Holly Ainsworth Carattini (Chad) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; thirteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ainsworth lived most of her lifetime in Jackson and Clinton; for the past eight years, she lived in Cumming and Atlanta, Georgia. She was a stay-at-home mom and “mamaw,” and was devoted to her family. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.
