Earl David Nichols

Mr. Earl David Nichols, age 77, of Raymond, MS passed away on November 18, 2014 at UMMC in Jackson. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Forest Hill Church of God of Prophecy and Saturday, November 22 from 10:00-11:00 am at Lakewood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am at Lakewood Funeral Home followed by interment at Lakewood Memorial Park.

A native of Holly Bluff, Mississippi, Earl David Nichols was born on June 2, 1937 to the late Albert Earl and Hazel Bernice Briggs Nichols. He served in the military as a US Marine and also served in the Mississippi National Guard for many years. He worked for Entergy, formerly MS Power & Light Company, for over 35 years and retired as a Communication Relay man. He was a Deacon of Forest Hill Church of God of Prophecy.

Mr. Nichols is survived by his son, Jeffrey D. Nichols (Renetta); his daughter, Sandra A. Greer (Steve); his sisters, Edna Doris Leist and Ruby Nerissa Lancaster (Glenn); his grandchildren, Aaron G. Greer, Jacob Sloan Greer, Crystal Juanita Greer, Trenton E. Nichols, Ethan T. Nichols, Sarah E. Nichols and Isabella R. Nichols and his great-grandchildren, Micah Hill, Daniel Isaiah Greer, Savannah Lynn Greer and Andrea May Greer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda M. Nichols; one brother, Doyle Nichols and a great grandson, Kayden A. Glenn.
