Born November 6, 1955, in Yazoo City to Dorothy Brown Cobb and Clifford C. Cobb, Jr.
David was loved by many and never met a stranger. As a barber and owner of California Concept in Pearl, MS for over 40 years, his shop was the meeting place for many dear long-time friends. David was an avid hunter and loved spending time outdoors with his beloved sons, brother, and friends.
David was a faithful member of Northside Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, member of the Properties Committee, the Usher Team, and an outspoken member of George Dale’s Sunday School Class. David enjoyed the fellowship of the men’s breakfast group that met every Sunday to discuss the Bible and solve the world’s problems. David was a loving and faithful friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He had a servant’s heart and always greeted everyone with open arms. David showed selfless devotion to everyone, never expecting anything in return.
David was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy and Clifford C. Cobb Jr, father-in-law Clifton C. Ferguson Jr, and several close family members.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Trina Ferguson Cobb; sons David Brent Cobb (Lindsey), Clifton Barrett Cobb (Alexandria), and Joseph Bryson Cobb; brother James C. Cobb (Linda), sisters Carol Smith, Marie Woodrick (Bill), and Sharon Brim; six grandchildren, mother-in-law Trinidad P. Ferguson, and many nieces and nephews.
