Charles Brown Tisdale

A visitation for Charles will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, Mississippi 39209, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM.

Charles will be laid to rest in Lakewood Memorial Park, 6000 Clinton Blvd., Jackson, Mississippi 39209.

Charles was born in Newton County, MS to the late Jennings B. Tisdale and Anna Powell (Tisdale). Charles graduated from Mississippi State University and also served his country in the Air Force. Charles was employed and retired as an Assistant State Conservation Engineer. After retirement he worked for the Credit Union in Management for ten years before also retiring.

Charles was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Clinton, Mississippi. He served as Building Chairman when the church moved from West Jackson to Clinton. He also served as Treasurer for a period of time.

Charles was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing on the MS Gulf Coast. He liked to build and also built a home on the MS Gulf Coast so he could stay for the weekend to fish. Charles like to deer hunt and watch Mississippi State Sports.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James and Robert Tisdale. He is survived by his wife, Armilda Tisdale; his daughter, Kay Armstrong and his son, Ray Tisdale.
