Bettye was born in Crawford, MS on September 12, 1933. She graduated from Starkville High School. Bettye worked in the Heavy Equipment business at Mississippi Road, Allied Equipment and Lyles Machinery until her retirement in 2013. Everyone remembers her as Miss Bettye. She enjoyed the company of friends and family and loved flowers and gardening.
She is preceded in death by husbands, Don Williams and Johnny Williams; granddaughter, Brooke Schneitman; sister, Mary Ann Graham and her parents, Hardin and Clara Blankenship.
Survivors are her son, Donny Williams and his wife Mary Jane Williams; her sister, Bessie Mitchell, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A pavilion service was held at Lakewood Memorial Park on Friday, January 6, at 3:00 pm.
