Betty Farish Moore, 86, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 in Morton, MS. A visitation will be held Monday, April 18, 2022 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Lakewood Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow. Interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Ms. Moore was born on February 27, 1936 in Louisville, MS. She taught and influenced the lives of many children throughout her career as a teacher. She had a special love for animals, especially her dogs and cats. She had a passion for gardening and was a skilled quilter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Edwin Farish and Corinne Brown Farish; grandson, Drew Moore; and brother, David Farish.
Ms. Moore is survived by her sons, Andrew Moore (Deanna) of Bristol, TN and Patrick Moore (Tammy) of Morton, MS; grandchildren, Nicholas Moore, Mallory Hunt (Geoffrey) and Ben Moore; sister, Janet Veazey; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
