Ronald Ray Dangler

Of Harrison, MI formerly of Jackson, MI passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023, at the age of 76. Ronald is survived by wife Kimberly (Edinger) of 27 years; sons, Donald (Alicia) Dangler, Robert J. (Amelia) Dangler, Ronald (Beth) Rotter, and Thomas Bowlby; daughters, Shawna Gerry, Autumn (Andy) Uyttenhove; thirty grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild; special friends, Dave Horsley and Lisa Thompson; his fur babies, Gizmo, Lizzie, Ellie and Nippy. Ron was born on February 18, 1947, to Ray and Edna (Hyatt) Dangler in Jackson, MI. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by siblings; Robert Dangler, Harold Dangler, Dean Dangler, Joy Dangler, Eleanor Hull, Ila Howard, identical twin Don Dangler; daughters, Leesa Colasky and Kimmie Dangler; ex-wife Shirley Dangler and his faithful fur sidekick Jack. Ron was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed spending time at the casino with the hopes of hitting the big jackpot, weekend fishing with the grandkids and cheering them loud at their sporting events. Ron also had a passion for fixing and painting cars. Ron wore different hats in his lifetime he was employed as a caregiver at Jackson Medical Care and Lifespan, stock car driver at Jackson Motor Speedway, supervisor at Miller Industries and even owned and operated his own food truck where his passion for cooking soared. He was a wonderful husband, father, and proud grandpa. Ron had a knack for striking up a conversation making friends wherever he went. He touched the lives of many and his infectious laugh will be deeply missed. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 E. Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI 49202). Family will receive friends at 1:00 PM until time of service.
