Robert L. "Bob" Jackson

Of Onondaga, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family, on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the age of 81. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Jean (Kinch) Jackson; six children, Douglas (Penny) Jackson, Michael (Mary) Jackson, Rebecca (Russell) Nicoson, Brenda (Joe) Piggott, Thomas (Kristi) Jackson and Jeanne (Richard) Riske as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends and his K-9 companion, Zeus. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Jackson; great-granddaughter, Ellery Jackson; brother, William Jackson, sister, Flora Jackson. Bob was born on January 27, 1933 to Douglas and Gladys (Taggart) Jackson in Lake Orion, Michigan. He spent his working career as a heavy equipment operator, enjoyed riding his motorcycle and his many hobbies, which included woodworking and operating his home built aircraft. He was always willing to help when he was able and he loved his wife. He touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed. According to his wishes, cremation has been selected and a service honoring his life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 11:30AM.
