Of Jackson passed away at his home under the care of his family at the age of 78 on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Vickie Surber; two daughters, Dawn (LeRoy) Schiller and Moneach (John) Berro; four grandchildren, Zachary (Kelsey), Parker (Rachel), Braiden and Marrisa; great granddaughter, Sawyer; sister, Marilyn (Dan) Kilbourn as well as loving family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Lynn was preceded in death by his son, Steven Surber; sister, Phyllis Armbruster and brother, Larry Surber. Lynn was born in Jackson, Michigan on February 11, 1945 to Hubert and Lenora Surber. After graduating from Northwest High School in 1963 he served in the United States Army. After his honorable discharge he returned to Jackson Returned to Jackson to marry Vickie Lynn Mason on September 30, 1972 and together they raised a family. A Celebration of his life will be held at the Heart O The Lakes Church (7031 Jefferson Road Brooklyn, 49203) on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
