Kevin M. "Kip" Winright Sr.

Kevin M. "Kip" Winright, Sr. passed away at home on June 15, 2011 at the age of 53. Kip is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Pat Winright; two brothers, Larry and Robert; special uncles, Cortland Place and Paul Winright. Kevin is survived by his wife Janet; children, Sarah (Jaymi) Keel, Kevin Winright Jr. and Jacob Greer; grandchildren, Dakoda and Cooper Keel; step-grandchildren, Taylor and Cameron Keel; six sisters, Patricia (Galen) Grulke, Debbie Rice, Nancy (Bob) Schweikert, Jennette (Kurt) Carlson, Karen (David) Goddard and Sharen (Lee) Erfourth; sister-in-law, Donna Winright; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James Greer and Janet Greer; special aunt, Ruth Place; special friend, Don Vogt, as well as several special brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Kip was employed at the John George Home where he developed several special relationships with the men he served. He was loved by all that knew him for his kind, loving nature as well as his sense of humor. He touched the lives of all he came into contact with. Kip was looking forward to spending time on projects around the farm this summer with his father-in-law and cousin and his special dog, Max. Kip will be sadly missed by all the many lives he touched. Funeral services will be held at the Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home Saturday June 18, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. with Pastor Galen Grulke officiating. Visitation Friday 5-8 P.M. Burial at Roseland Cemetery. In lieu flowers, contributions may be made in Kip’s memory to the John George Home, United Methodist Retirement Communities Heritage Foundation, or Heart of the Shepherd Lutheran Church.
