Joseph Eugene Burlingham

Of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the age of 68, under the kind and compassionate care of the staff at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility and Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Cecelia (Lago) Burlingham. He leaves to cherish his memory: loving wife, Marian Burlingham; step-daughter, Gina Gudowski (James); siblings, Cindy (Dan) Flynn, Mark (Cindy) Burlingham, Lois (Glen) Richardson, Lori (Scott) Lauckner, Jill (Reid) Wahl; nieces and nephews, Ryan (Jessica) Flynn, Riki (Chad) Thomson, Chelsea (Kyle) Garner, Erin (Steven) Flynn, Jared Wahl and Jacob (Kaitlyn) Wahl, as well as other loving family members and friends. Joe was born in Jackson, Michigan on March 1, 1953 and is a Graduate of Jackson High School. He was a gifted singer and guitarist, playing at many local venues and on the road throughout his life. Joe enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking/grilling, spending time with friends and family, and his K-9 companions, Dusty and Ben, were very special to him. He always loved entertaining and helping a friend in need and touched the lives of many. His brilliant quick wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed. Cremation has been chosen, and there will be a celebration of his life at a later date. Those who wish, may make a contribution in his memory to the Jackson School of the Arts.
