Of Jackson, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 20, 2013 at her home, while under the loving care of her family, at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Fowler in 1997. She will be remembered by her three daughters, Mildred (Ken) Mannor Sr., Barbara Largen and Roberta Wenman; twenty-three grandchildren; forty-three great grandchildren; thirty-five great-great grandchildren; one great-great-great grandson, many nieces, nephews and a host of loving church family and friends. Mrs. Fowler was born to Ray and Norah Gier in Ransom, Michigan. At one time she participated with the Jackson Zouaves drill team. She was devoted to her family and was a proud homemaker with a strong faith in the Lord. She was a very active member of Sycamore Baptist Church, where a celebration of her life with be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with her grandson, Pastor Brian Miller officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at the Church on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. with a special prayer service to be held at 7:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory made to the Church bus fund will be greatly appreciated.
