Of Jackson, passed away at her home on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the age of 87. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Adolph “Al” Gudowski; daughter, Liz (Mike) Barton; five granddaughters, Genny (Rico) Poole, Gina Gudowski, Corissa Barton, Alicia (Jeremy) Curtis and Kelly (Kendall) Kobel; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn Clouse and Linda Kolis; brother, Richard (Tammy) Todd as well as nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three sons, Michael, Rodney and Mark Gudowski also a sister, Jerry Kimball. Betty Jo was born in Oxford, Mississippi on November 10, 1930 to Rufus and Georgia (Gibbs) Todd. When she was 14 she took a train to Jackson and attended Jackson High. She worked at Michigan Bakery where she met Mr. Gudowski. They married and raised a family in Jackson. She was a loving wife and mother. She was a hard working homemaker and is especially proud of her five granddaughters, whom she adored. Cremation has been selected and there will be a celebration of her life at a later date. The family would like to acknowledge the kind and compassionate care that was provide by Heartland Hospice.
