Of Whitmore Lake, MI passed away on October 20, 2024 at the age of 68. Benjamin was born in Jackson, MI on May 8, 1956 to parents Joseph B. and Delois C. McDonald. He worked as a CNA at Cedar Knoll Nursing Facility for years prior to his illness and was a member of Oasis of Love Full Gospel Church. Benjamin was full of life and loved his family. He loved to cook and entertain and was always the life of the party. His smile and laughter would light up a room. Benjamin is survived by his mother Delois McDonald; siblings Brenda Poole, Joseph R. McDonald, and Joan Spears; nieces Janene McDonald, Mia (Warren) Johnson, and Theresa (Tony) Horne; nephew Austin (Shonda) Stacil; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Joseph B. McDonald and brother Bobby Porter and Bobby McDonald . A Homegoing Celebration of Benji’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 East Michigan Ave) with Pastor Corey Pryor officiating. Family hour from 10:00AM until time of service.
