Of Jackson, was reunited in Heaven with Julie, his beloved wife of 50 years, on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the age of 81. He is survived by his daughters, Deborah (Wright) Whitney and Penny Wright; one grandson; one granddaughter; nine great grandsons; one great great granddaughter; several brothers and sisters; their spouses; loving family members and friends. Alfred was born in Jackson on April 17, 1937 to Alfred C. and Lelia (Reed) Wright. He was an honorably discharged Veteran of the United States Army. He achieved the rank of SP4 (T) E-4 (P1) after proudly serving his country for five years. He was stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia. He was a rifle and pistol marksman, received the Good Conduct Medal, and was a 2nd C1 gunner. After he returned home he was loyally employed as a machinist at Teer Wick Wire and retired after 38 years of service. He was a Past Master of the Napoleon Masonic Lodge 301 as well as past Vice-President of the Eagles post 612 of Jackson. He donated his time to the American Red Cross teaching CPR and First-Aid and supported the Easter Seals. He loved his family and he loved spending time with them. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. His love for his family and Country was immeasurable. He often said he was saving the last dance for his true love, Julie, our mamma and grandma.

He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Mr. Wright has been cremated and he will be laid to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery with Military Honors on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
