Sean earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Western Michigan University in 1992. He went on to obtain Project Management Professional and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certifications. He cut his teeth working as a Consultant, Senior Consultant, IT and Operations Manager for Management Technologies, Inc., an organization Sean’s father started out of Sean’s bedroom. The organization was eventually moved and based out of Detroit MI. When the organization closed shop in 2007, Sean took his certifications and skillset directly to the manufacturing industry.
His career took him overseas and resided him in several cities across the United States. One of his favorite songs was Turn the Page by Bob Seger. Sean changed careers and spent the last two and a half years of his life in CDL Trucking, the other end of manufacturing.
Sean enjoyed all manner of sports but was especially partial to Football. His fondest memory was playing college football on a team with actor Terry Cruz. What Sean lacked in size and skills, he made-up for in heart on the football field. He had a photographic memory and was a self-taught mechanic. As a young child, Sean astounded his dad and visitors during gatherings by being able to identify the make and model of his toy cars, even if they were across the room, upside down.
Sean had an exceptional sense of his geographical direction, was a skilled swimmer, loved military history and had a phenomenal sense of humor. He enjoyed hunting, camping, snowmobiling, and windsurfing during his younger years. He was immensely proud of his English, Irish and Polish ancestry. He had an ardent desire to one day visit the village of Hougham located in Kent, in The United Kingdom.
Funeral service for Sean will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Hope Lutheran Church in Irmo, SC. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
