COLUMBIA - Elizabeth A. Huebner (nee Burger) found peace after a long illness on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at the age of 65. She was the beloved wife and best friend of Scott Huebner for 50 years. She was the loving mother of three children, Chris (Megan), Lauren (John), and Alex and grandmother of four grandchildren, Ellison, Michael, Jackson, and Emma. She was the daughter of Ray A. and Estella F. Burger and is survived by two brothers, Ray and Ken and many other relatives and friends.
Beth was a lover of life in general, and her family, friends, and children in particular. She was a beloved elementary school teacher for many years, teaching students in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, and South Carolina. She loved cooking, crafts, helping others, and being with friends and family. She had a special place in her heart for her dogs, especially Maggie and Whitey. Her laughter and sense of humor was infectious and will be sorely missed by those who knew her.
Due to Covid-19, there will be no in-person funeral or visitation. The family would cherish your comments and stories on the Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, condolences page for Elizabeth Huebner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Union United Methodist Church in Irmo, South Carolina or the Presbyterian Community in Lexington, SC or Pawmetto Lifeline in Columbia are appreciated.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Columbia Presbyterian Community and Crescent Hospice for the loving care given to Beth.
