Theda Voyles

Theda Irene (Brittain) Voyles, 95, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Iowa Park with Pastor Glen Pearce officiating. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the funeral home.

Theda was born September 21, 1922 in Burkburnett, Texas to Earnest and Mary Annie (Via) Brittain. She married the love of her life, Buck Voyles on November 2, 1940 in Iowa Park. She owned several Merle Norman Studios in Iowa Park and Wichita Falls for 30 years. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Iowa Park. Theda was also a member of the Iowa Park Lioness Club where she served as President, a member of the PTA, was a room mother for her children at the Iowa Park schools, and a member of the Iowa Park Eastern Star Sorority. When Buck was alive, they would travel in their travel trailer and was happy anytime the wheels were rolling. Theda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Theda is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Danny Voyles; three sisters and one brother.

Surviving relatives include her children, David Voyles of Wichita Falls, Texas; Joe Voyles and wife, Niki of Trophy Club, Texas; and Leslie Pruett and husband, Jerry of Iowa Park; sister, June Jones of Altus, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
