Robert W. Whatley

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas with Pastor Tim Franks, Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park, officiating. Graveside services will follow at Cumby Cemetery in Chico, Texas under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the funeral home.

Bob was born on June 12, 1934 to Walker and Gertrude Whatley in Park Springs, TX. Bob was an auto parts manager in Iowa Park, TX for 52 years. He was a long and loyal manager for Danny Coffman at D-C Auto.

Bob had many activities including bowling, trips to the lake, Vegas trips, and his family time at the reunions. He was also a faithful Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan. He loved life.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, C.J. Whatley, Floyd Ray Whatley, and Jerry Whatley and one sister, Jackye Whatley.

Survivors include two daughters, LaWanna and her husband Randy Johnson of Scotland, Texas. Cynthia Whatley of Orange Park, Florida. Three grandchildren, Josh and wife Jana Johnson of Henrietta, Texas, DeNeka Johnson of Henrietta, Texas, and Stevie and husband Tommy Vasquez of Orange Park, Florida. He also had seven great-grandchildren. Surrounded with love from four sisters, Anita Long, Nell Walker, Dot Whatley and Shirley and husband Danny Cary. One brother, Leland and wife Mary Whatley. Also numerous nieces and nephews. He had lots of good times with his great friends.
