David Lagunas, 75, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 in Burkburnett, Texas. Graveside services will be held privately at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park, Texas. Services are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park.
David was born October 24, 1944 in Vernon, Texas to Sefrino and Opal (Montez) Lagunas. He married Tanya Chamberlain on March 25, 1972 in Wichita Falls, Texas. David worked as a welder for over 40 years, working for companies like Brown Brothers, EW Moran, Moran Brothers, Specialty Welding, and retired from Washex in 2011. His passions were rodeo, fishing, and hunting.
David is preceded in death by his parents; son, Andrew Lagunas; brother, Joe Lagunas; sister, Vicky Gomez; and sister, Lana Nava.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Tanya Lagunas of Burkburnett; son Chad and wife, Melissa Lagunas of Charlie, Texas; son, Brian Lagunas of Sulphur Springs, Texas; son, Dustin and wife, Sheila Lagunas of Burkburnett; daughter, Kelly and husband, Clark Higginbotham; eleven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
