Billy Joe Harrington

Billy Joe Harrington, 86, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Iowa Park, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, November 19, 2016 in the chapel at Dutton Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday, November 18, 2016 at the funeral home.

Billy was born January 24, 1930 in Nocona, Texas to A.O. and Maurine Helen (Myers) Harrington. He married Frances Lavern Walters on February 9, 1950 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He worked and retired from Midwestern State University as a Paint Shop Supervisor for 29 years. Billy loved football and going to the horse races.

Billy is preceded in death by his wife, Frances, who passed away April 2, 2016; and his parents; and his brothers, Bobby Jack, Kenneth Lee, and Terry Don Harrington.

Surviving relatives include his son, David Bruce and wife, Rose Harrington; daughter, Renea and husband, Joe Bob Petty; grandchildren, Corky Petty and Becky and husband, Carl Miser; great grandchildren, Emily Miser, Toby Miser, Mickey Joe Miser, and C.J. Petty; all of Iowa Park, Texas; and sister, Jery Lyn Harrington.

Memorials are suggested to be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
