Thomas Moloney

Moloney, Thomas More "Tom" age 58, of Blackstone, passed away from complications of Parkinson's surrounded by family and friends on Nov, 14, 2017 in Inverary Manor, Inverness. Tom was born in Manitoulin Island, Ont., on October 29, 1959 and was a son of Alfreda (Marchand) Moloney and the late Henry Moloney. Tom was a devoted Catholic and parishioner of St. Mary's Church, Mabou and was a humble man, loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Tom lived in Blackstone from 1971 until moving to Inverary Manor in August, 2015. He enjoyed walking the dog, helping with farm work, great conversation, music and food with family and friends. He is survived by his siblings Marie Celeste O.C.D., Ontario; Cecilia, St. John's; John (Linda), Blackstone; Sister Angela C.M.T., Santiago Chile; Pauline (Norm) Stein, Halifax; Stephen (Gloria), Saskatoon, Peter (Jenny), Terrace, BC.; Patrick (Amanda), Calgary; Hugh (Peggy), Cochrane,; Robert (Kieu), St. John's; Luke, Vancouver; nieces, Lacey, Amber, Theresa, Mary Catherine, Karissa, Kate and Jasmine; nephews, Brendan Liam, Thomas, Sean, René and Rowan. Tom is predeceased by brother, Francis (Sadie), (Port Hood); and infant siblings, Joseph, Joseph R., Elizabeth

and Janet. The family would like to thank Dr. Lok and the Palliative Care Team, and all of the staff in Inverary Manor for their compassion and excellent care. Visitation will be held in the Vestry of St. Mary's Church, Mabou on Friday Nov 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday in St. Mary's Church, Mabou at 11 a.m. with Father Bernie MacDonald officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society or to St. Mary's Parish Cemetery Fund, Mabou.
