Wright, Susan "Susie" - 95, Mull River, Inverness Co. With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Susie Wright at the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital on March 26, 2013. Born in Mull River on January 2nd,1918, she was a daughter of the late David and Sarah Jane (MacDonald) Wright. Susie was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Wright; brothers, Daniel "Danny" and Fred "Freddy" Wright (Mull River); half-sister, Johnina (Watts) Kinney (Frank) (Brighton Mass.); niece, Kathleen (Wright) Rankin (Alexander Joseph) (Mabou); grand nephew, John Morris Rankin (Sally) (Antigonish); grand nieces, Geraldine Rankin Coyne (Seamus) (De Winton, Alta.); Raylene Rankin Anderson (Colin) (Halifax). Susie is survived by several grand nieces and nephews, Genevieve (Jake) Fakoory, Sierra Madre, Calif,; David (Lorraine) Rankin, Long Point; Paul (Kathleen) Rankin, Lively, Ont.; Ronnie (Clare) Rankin, Mabou; Jimmy (Mia) Rankin, Nashville, Tenn.; Carol "Cookie" Rankin (George) Massenburg, Franklin, Tenn.; Susan (Franck) Weber, Singapore; Heather Rankin (James) MacInnis, Halifax; Nancy Rankin, Calgary, Alta.; several great grand nieces and nephews and one great great grand-niece. She is also survived by her cousins and dear friends, James St. Clair, Mull River; Anne (Smith) McLean, Stoughten, Mass.; Helena MacDonald, Mull River; many friends in many places across the continent. Susie was a member of the former Mabou- Hillsborough United Church and a great grand daughter of one of the founders of the church, James Wright. Susie dedicated her life to maintaining the family farm in Mull River and keeping the home fires burning and caring for her siblings and other relatives. With genuine hospitality and a gracious heart, she warmly received many visitors from many places and delighted in serving them all a good hot cup of tea. She lived her final years warming the hearts of others at the Inverary Manor in Inverness. Her loving presence and constant concern will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 29 from 2-9 p.m. at 58 Highland Street, Mabou (home of Ronnie and Clare Rankin, Back Street). Funeral service with Pastor Maggie Plant D.L.M. and Rev Donna Tourneur officiating will be held on Saturday, March 30th at 11 a.m. in Mabou-Hillsborough United Church, Route 252. Interment will be held at a later date in the Pioneer Cemetery, Hillsborough.
