MacKenzie, Margaret Catherine Age 71, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Port Hood on August 18, 1943, Margaret was a daughter of the late John Joseph and Catherine (MacDonald) MacKenzie. She was a member of St. Peter’s Church, Port Hood.
Margaret is survived by her son, John Donald; four grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, John Alex, Prince George BC.; Hughie (Sylvia) and Alex (Patsy), Inverness; sisters, Mary Bond, Toronto Ont.; Jessie Ann Bond, Judique; Theresa MacPhee, New Glasgow. She was predeceased by her husband, Alex Camus; brothers, Charles, Donald, Angus and Neil, many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 in St. Peter’s Church, Port Hood from 10-10:45 am with Funeral Mass to follow at 11 a.m., Fr, Vincent vanZutphen officiating. Burial to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society or to The Canadian Cancer Society.
