Born in Neil's, Harbour Cape Breton, he was a son of Marion Moore and the late Rick MacDonald.
Shane was a well-liked spiritual generous person wherever he travelled. he owned a painting company in Calgary Alberta for many years and he was a proud member to the UA local Pipefitters, he was happy in the last few years, working his dream job at the Shipyard‘s in Dartmouth.
His most loved profession was being a great dad to his two children, Hannah and Daniel; whom he loved more than anything. He truly enjoyed taking them swimming fishing, hiking and just spending quality time with them.
Shane is survived by his mother, Marion (Dougal) MacEachern; sisters, Maggie (Kyle) Durrant and Tara; nieces, Madison and Marina; and nephew, Kyle; and life-long friend and companion, Bernadette Poirier. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and many many cousins as well as his special Aunt Murdell (Jim). Shane was predeceased by his father, Rick MacDonald; maternal grandparents, Percy, and Marcella Fraser Moore; and paternal grandparents, John Andrew and Sadie McDonald.
Visitation will be held in St. Matthew's United Church, Inverness on Monday May 29th from 1-1:45 pm with Funeral Service to follow at 2pm with Rev Barbara Blois celebrating. Burial to be announced at a later date.
