Born on April 18th,1921 to her parents Archie and Christy Bell MacDonald,Judique Intervale.
Kaye was a strong willed lady up until the very end, she was a very generous and loving soul. She loved family and friends coming to visit for tea and sometimes for a little “gillic”of wine. Kaye was very strong in her faith. She could often be found praying the rosary.
Kaye loved outings with family, she was a great admirer of the royal family especially the late Queen. She could often be found watching her favorite TV channel CNN waiting for the news report from her “boyfriend” Anderson Cooper.
On Sept 19th,2023 the gates of heaven swung open and Kaye was welcomed into our lord's waiting arms into his kingdom. Kaye was the last surviving member of her family. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews to mourn her passing. She will be forever missed by her dear and closest friends Edie and Jessica.
Kaye was predeceased by her parents, Archie and Christy Bell; siblings, Margaret Sara, John Rory, Sara Mae, Rachel, James Allan, Mary Bell, Neil Joseph (Josie), Roderick Malcolm (Roddie) and Mary Ann.
Kaye left her native Cape Breton in 1947 to pursue work in Boston where she worked as a live-in home support worker. She was responsible for all kitchen duties as a cook. She remained working there until 1986 when she returned to the family home to look after her brother John Rory. After his passing in 1999 she continued to live a very independent lifestyle on the family homestead until she entered the Inverary Manor in Feb 2022 where she resided until her passing.
Visitation will be Tuesday Sept 26th from 4-9 pm in Judique Fire Hall. Funeral Mass is 11am Wednesday Sept 27th in St. Andrews Church, Judique with Fr Allan MacMillian officiating.
Burial to follow in the Judique cemetery.
