Angus MacKay

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Angus G MacKay of Inverness, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital on January 16th, 2016. Angus was born on October 5th, 1926, a son of the late John Eddie and Annie (MacIsaac) MacKay (of Inverness). He was pre deceased by his loving wife, Mary Bertha (Poirier) MacKay of Inverness; his sister, Georgina; his brother, John; his sister, Kathleen and brother, Harold. Angus is survived by his sister, Marion (Zannie), Halifax, and his brother, Gerald "Gerry" and Roberta (Watson) MacKay in Montreal. He is also survived by his 4 children, Debbie (Bruce) Findlay, Toronto; Brian and Evelyn (Burke) Halifax; Brenda (Scott) Gregory, Toronto, and Eric, Toronto. Angus is also survived by his grandchildren, Jennifer Findlay (Corcoran), Kathryn Findlay, Jessica and Andrew MacKay, Luke Gregory; step grand-daughters, Devon and Kelli Gregory and his new great-grand daughter, Carolina MacKay Corcoran. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 21 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in Stella Maris Church, Inverness with Fr. Duncan MacIsaac officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Stella Maris Parish Cemetery Fund, or to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society, Inverness.

Dad had a full, long, and happy life, with a long list of friends. He will be so missed.
