Allan Archibald Macpherson

MacPherson, Allan Archibald – Age 60, passed away on December 9, 2010, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Inverness on November 11, 1950, he was a son of the late Donald Joe and Flora Jane (MacLellan) MacPherson.

He was a member of his church in Halifax as well as a member of Immaculate Conception Church, West Lake Ainslie. Allan worked most of his life as an employee of Dept of Transportation, Halifax. Allan liked to enjoy “scotch” music as well as a good party, good laughter and give a pat on the head. He will be missed by his family, friends, co-workers and all who came to know him.

He is survived by brothers, Andrew (Myrtle), Brampton, Ont.; Donald A (Diane), New Hampshire; Hugh (Audrey), Blackstone; sisters, Annabelle (D.D.) Gillis, Blackstone; Mary C (Stewart) Gillis, South West Margaree; and his uncle, John Hugh (Sara Margaret) MacLellan. Allan is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and many cousins. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by a grand-niece (Diane), “DI.DI, MacPherson”. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be in Inverness Funeral Home on Tuesday December 14, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass and burial will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Cemetery Fund, West Lake Ainslie or to a charity of your choice
