90, of Indianapolis, passed away November 2, 2014. He was born August 25, 1924, in Carnegie, PA, to Walter and Rose (Hartz) Nowak. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, was graduate of Duquesne University,
Pittsburg, PA, and retired as an engineer for Allison Gas Turbine in 1991. Walter is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Lorraine (Theobald) Nowak; daughters Lisa (Robert) Jerry of Gainesville, FL, Sara (Joseph) Emmick of Western Springs, IL; brother Marion Nowak; grandchildren John Jerry, James Jerry, Elizabeth Jerry and William Emmick. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at 11 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with the family receiving friends from 10 to 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Walter’s name may be made to Catholic Charities, Seasons Hospice or Disabled American Veterans. Services entrusted to Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary.
