Obituary of Shannon Coleen Wilkey
Shannon C. (Beattey) Wilkey, of Indianapolis Indiana, passed away peacefully October 2nd, 2021. Shannon was born April 3rd, 1976 (age 45) to Debbie (Bowles) Case and Jay R. (Randy) Beattey in Indianapolis, Indiana. Shannon very much enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Shannon was incredibly friendly and did not know a stranger. She would listen intently, with her big green eyes, to ensure people knew she cared. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Shannon could always identify her unique, loud, and infectious laughter. Her laugh would always draw attention and bring others into the comedy and fun that caused her laughter. Shannon loved all kinds of music and could be found singing along to her favorite songs. She was also known to make up her own lyrics when she was unsure of the correct ones. Shannon’s favorite radio show was the ‘German Hour’ Sunday mornings on WIRC. She was known to dedicate songs to her loved ones, and friends, in hopes they would listen. Shannon loved pop culture, including popular TV shows ‘Leave It To Beaver’, ‘Big Brother’, and ‘Friends’. Shannon was a devout animal lover (especially dogs) and didn’t meet an animal that didn’t become her friend. Shannon graduated from Franklin Central High School in 1994. Shannon was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in her early 20’s yet did not let this slow her down. Shannon held employment in the banking and medical professions until her health issues caused her to be unable to perform these roles. Shannon leaves to cherish her memory to her son Evan Wilkey; Mom Debbie (John) Case; Dad Randy (Patti) Beattey; Grandma Carole Bowles; Brothers and sisters: Justin (Maria) Beattey, Cortney Urich, Joe (Chad) Folck and Marianne (Chris)Armstrong; Boyfriend Joe Monin and his daughter Addilyn; also 8 nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Happy Life, and her life in eternity, will be held Saturday, November 6th from 1-4pm at the Carriage Court Club House located at 6019 Timberlake Boulevard, Indianapolis Indiana 46237.
