Sam was a devoted son, brother, and friend. He was the life of the party and his greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. He made his love and loyalty to his family and friends known every day. Sam was famous for his giant bear hugs and made you feel like the most important person in the room. Sam loved to tease his sisters and anyone who disagreed with his sports teams. His smile and laugh was contagious, and he lit up every room he walked into. He was a lifelong Colts fan and attended many games with his Dad over the years. He was also an avid golfer, fantasy football guru, and loved attending the Indy500 with his friends since he was 15. He loved to go fishing and was a member of the St. Pius X Knights of Columbus.
Sam is survived by his loving parents, Matt and Crissy Ahlers; twin sister, Grace (Tanner) Sandlin, younger sister, Maggie Ahlers; grandparents Tim and Joyce Earley; grandmother, Dorothea Ahlers; countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
