Obituary of Paul E. Ross
Paul Edward Ross 80, Pleasant View, IN, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis, IN. Paul was born in Moral Township, Shelby County on November 29, 1933 to Jesse and Elsie Hickman Ross. He married Mable L. Neel on June 17, 1955. She passed away November 22, 2012.Survivors include children: Randy (Tina) Ross, Venice, FL; Rhea Archer, Greenwood, IN; Rhonda (Bill) Emmert, New Palestine, IN; Ryan (Debra) Ross, Greenwood, IN; grandchildren Brandon Archer, Nicole Thompson, Alexandra Ross, and great grandson Rhett Thompson. Niece Debra (Kim) Herrmann, plus many other cherished family and friends, and dog Charlie. He was predeceased by: parents, infant daughter Robin Ross; sister Marjorie Royer; brothers Norman Ross, Lester Ross and stillborn twin Jay. Paul was a Moral Township High School graduate of 1951. He retired in 1986 after 23 years as a transport driver for Marathon Oil Company in Speedway IN. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, Triton Community Lions Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles and the American Legion. He served in the Army, 2nd Division, 9th Infantry Regiment stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska 1956-57, subsequently served 2 years reserve duty with Army National Guard in Shelbyville, IN. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Pleasant View Baptist Church, 12442 Southeastern Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46259 or Triton Community Lions Club, Attn: Joe Linville, 7930 W 800 N, Fairland, IN 46126.Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E. Stop 11 Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46237. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Pleasant View Baptist Church, 12442 Southeastern Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46259, with additional visitation at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
