Patricia “Patty” Ellen McPeek Genung, Avon, Indiana, passed away October 21, 2023. She was born in Indianapolis December 11, 1940, in her parents’ 3102 West Michigan Street home.
Patty was a graduate of George Washington High School. She resided and raised her children in Brownsburg, Indiana. She was the Practice Manager for Northwest Radiology where she worked for thirty-four years.
Patty enjoyed traveling, entertaining, and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Bruce G. and Bernard L. McPeek; parents Edward H. and Bertha I. McPeek; and daughter Michelle L. Spears Cannon.
She is survived by husband Thomas A. Genung; first husband Clifford B. Spears; sister Peggy I. McPeek Coffey; children Michael (Sharon) Spears, Mark (Jamie) Spears; son-in-law William Cannon; grandchildren Nicole Yunker, Danielle Lehman (Bret), Michael (Sara) Spears, Ryan (Elaine) Spears, Colin (Ali) and Kelsey Cannon, Chanie Chase (Mitchell), Cydney Hoyt, and Jack Spears; great-grandchildren, Austin, Genevieve, Christian, Julian Michael and Gavin Yunker, Lucas, Andrew, and Grace Lehman, Michael, John, and Maeve Spears; Troy and Owen Cannon; and Easton Mitchell.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. in Crown Hill Cemetery’s Gothic Chapel followed by her funeral service. Burial will be in the Heroes of Public Safety Section followed by a meal in Crown Hill Funeral Home main building, 700 West 38th Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Indiana.
