Obituary of Nancy D. Konrad
Nancy D. Konrad, 81, of Indianapolis passed away on January 27, 2021. Nancy was born in Decatur, Illinois to Noland and Josephine Turner on October 23, 1939. She was one of four sisters. Nancy attended Saint Teresa High School in Decatur, Illinois, and the University of Rochester College in New York for nursing. She married Gerald (Jerry) Konrad on May 4, 1963, at Blessed Sacrament Church in Decatur, Illinois. Nancy and Jerry moved to Indianapolis in 1972 to raise their three children. While raising their family, they were active members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic School and Parish, as well as Bishop Chatard High School. They are currently parishioners of Christ the King Catholic Church. Nancy and Jerry may be most well-known for being the owner/operators of the Watt-a-Copy! printing shop in Broad Ripple from 1984 - 2000. Nancy spent her lifetime “living” with the people she loved the most: raising her family, socializing with friends such as “The Volleyball Group”, attending her children’s and grandchildren’s activities, playing bridge with her beloved friends, and traveling with her sisters and family. Nancy always had a radiant smile on her face, laughter in her voice, a fun-loving spirit, a loving heart towards everyone, and she was always the most beautiful woman in the room. Nancy is survived by her husband, Jerry: her three children Tim (Amy), Mike (Christina), and Kara Gin (Mike): and her four grandchildren: Matthew Konrad; Lucy, Lily, and Lexi Gin. All surviving family members are residing in Indianapolis. Showing will be Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Leppert Mortuary, 740 East 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46240. Funeral Services will be Thursday, February 4, 2021, at 11:00a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 5692 Central Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46220.
