Michael Garland McCord

Home Coming for Michael Garland McCord Aril 25 1948 to December 26 2019 Michael McCord was born in Louisville Kentucky to John Wesley McCord Sr. and Mary Catherine (Gardner) McCord on April 25 1948. At a young age, he and his family moved to Indianapolis where he attended public schools. He was a 1965 graduate of Shortridge H.S where he played cello for the school Orchestra. He attended Morehouse College in Atlanta Ga. where he majored in Business. Michael was self employed in small business ventures where he resided in Denver Co. Michael was an employee of Gulf Oil after moving back to Atlanta and later on in Houston Texas were later he was a cab driver until he moved back to Indianapolis upon the death of his sister Gwendolyn in 1994. Upon his death he was employed by H&R Block as a Tax Specialist. Dear Mike loved cooking and listening to classical music. Michael is proceeded in death by his mother Mary Catherine (Gardner) McCord, sister Gwendolyn Joyce McCord, father John Wesley McCord Sr.. Michael is survived by brother John Wesley McCord Jr. (Cherie), nephew Evan W. McCord, niece Bridget McCord, great nephew Zion McCord, great niece Vania McCord and a host of cousins.
